Go with the X700, more memory for less is sometimes a marketing ploy but I do belive that the X700 will push ahead of the 9800 Pro in most tests, it performs similarly to the 6600GT which is also faster than the 9800 Pro. Go for the X700, good chipset right there:good:
Definately X700, the 9800 will struggle on some games in which the X700 will do better. Aswell as the extra VRAM.
yet another vote for the x700...more vram for less....must be good...for the price u cant go wrong really methinx
idk, i just do haha i really dont like from X300 to X700, because they tend to perform lower most of the time than a 9800pro or a 9600XT, at least that what benchmarks say
Yeah the X300/600 series really were duds for the most part but from what I've seen the X700 is a perfectly decent series, better than the 9800XT in some tests, though it does depend on the benchmark, gfx settings ingame, and other hardware specs too.
yeah, the whole point is that all those cards technically were supposed to be better quality than the lower ones, and it was a dissapointment
I noticed something odd awhile ago, you know how there was supposed to be an X700XT, well did that pan out because I never say that guy on Newegg and if a major gfx card doesn't make it there chances are it doesn't exist. Anyone know about that one.
