well the story is that the psu blew, i replaced the psu. now i am having problems with my system when i try to power on with the 2 sata hard drives drives connected(lights flash and fans kick over once). without the 2 sata hard drives, it powers on as normal. id like to believe that the drives aren't fried, but i figured id post this for advice that i may not have tried.

    system specs are as follows,
    asus p5wdh deluxe, 2gig corsair, conroe e6600@ 2.6, 2x sata seagate barracuda 250 gb in raid 1, 1x ide seagate 320gb, thermaltake 700w toughpower, radeon x1900xtx

    thanks
    dave

what happens if you only connect the bootable HDD ?

it is unlikely to be your PSU, but, that doesn't mean it Isn't possible

could you try powering on with from a know working HDD (IDE or SATA), you may also try booting a LiveCD by inserting one in your CD / DVD drive & changing the boot priority in the BIOS

The computer boots as normal without the hard drives. I only have problems when they are connected.
