I have computer that was recently rebuilt, and all my data is on an old IDE drive, i bought two SATA drives: an 80gb, and a 140gb. I plan on mirroring the data from the IDE to one of the newer drives. But windows doesn't recognise the two new drives. but the BIOs on the other hand does.

    the Motherboard is:
    K8VGM-V
    VIA k8M890 + VT8237A Chipset Based

    the processor is:AMD Athlon 64 X2
    Dual-Core

and i'm running: XP Professional SP2

You need to go into Disk Management, right click on the drives and partition and format them before they will show up in My Computer.
