Hi all, Might not be the right forum, but you never know. I've bought an old server to use at home. Never built a server before, but quite happy building PCs. This one has a SCSI drive, Ultra160 68 pin, but only 9.2 Gb so I'd like to replace it. Most drives sold now seem to be Ultra320. Can anyone tell me whether there is a physical difference in connectors ? If not, will the 320 drives work in place of the 160 (though slower I'd assume) ?
According to the first table on this wiki page they are both 68pin. Im sure scsi will be backwards compatible. SCSI - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
