Hi

I have a problem with a CC3 server for schools, every morning when all the users log on the main forest server crashes, I have checked and removed any possible loops in the system, I’ve also removed scheduled tasks that might be causing the issue.

I cannot remove the tape backup task as this is needed to backup students work.

But I don’t think this is the issue

It crashes every morning around 9:00, when all students and members of staff log onto the system.

After the server is restarted its fine but I cannot keep restarting a server every morning it’s just not on.

Thanks for your help.

I think you will be better off contacting RM support than asking for help here... somebody might be able to help, but it wouldnt get your hopes up :(

Hi yea I was thinking that but I done a search on Google when I found the culprit that I was unable to fix a Dcom error when it dose not respond.

If anyone gets this error when there using a server try this...

Dcomcnfg.exe
then when the messages appear click yes as many times as you need.
This is based on the Windows server NT versions.
It will work in XP but looks different.

Hopefully this will solve my error.

The server {6D70C058-9F2A-47A4-933A-B6F4EF2DD251} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

This seemed to be the problem; I will let you know Monday if the system crashes again.

I appear to also have other errors on the server that I want to completely get rid of I want a fast and error free server well as much as possible any way...

here are some of my other errors if anyone knows anything about them...

Service control Manager.

The Telephony service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: NO action.

Sym_u3

The device,\Device\Scsi\Sym_u31,did not respond within the timeout period.

If anyone knows about these help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
