Dual channel ram doubles memory bandwidth. For dual channel you need:

    - At least 2 sticks of RAM
    - Motherboard + CPU that supports dual channel

There is no spesifically "dual channel memory sticks" as any 2 sticks at same size are OK. Dual channel memory sticks is just marketing BS.

As for your system, it supports only single channel. So 2*2GB vs 1*4GB won't make any difference. If buying new memory, 1*4GB is better choice because bigger sticks always have more use later.
