SLi Questions

Will be building a new pc soon to bring me upto date so I can take advantage of vista and DirectX 10.
Ive got my system all planned out but im still not sure whether I should go Sli or not. Im aware of the performance benefits of it but I have some querys about setting it up. At the moment ive got one of these in mind.
What im wondering is that if I want to sli it with another do i need to get the exact same one again? (even same make?)
Secondly with a card like this one would it be worth going sli right away? and if I dont should I worry about another being available in the future should I need it?

I believe that inorder to put a card into SLI it has to not only be the same model but same make as well. So a BFG 8800 GTS OC will only be compliant with another BFG 8800 GTS OC. As far as going into SLI mode with an 8800... I don't see a need to any time soon. Not to mention I would hate to see the power use that those cards would take up. (Looks like 700w minimum is recommended.)
