Im currently figuring out a system that I want to build to run the games I play. I think I have my system figured out but My question is does everything that Im going to list in relation to the GPUs go together? 2x BFG Tech GeForce GTX 260 OC2 MAXCORE 55 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 ASUS P7P55D PRO LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard Intel Core i5-670 Clarkdale 3.46GHz A-DATA Gaming Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 RAM This will all be run on Windows 7 64bit I just want to know if that CPU isn't going to bottleneck my 2 GPUS. I plan on overclocking my CPU since it was built with the 32nm and from what I've read that makes it better to Over clock. Also I noticed is my motherboard Ive chosen supports sli but when SLi is activated instead of both PCI slots being x16 they drop to x8 is that the norm for when running SLi on any Mobo or are there mobos that allow dual x16? If not then why both x8 because that just seems like running 1 GPU isntead of 2. If there is anymore information you guys need just let me know.
I don't think that the CPU will bottleneck anything, but why would you buy a 670? the 750 has double the cache , double the cores and you can always OC it. Plus, it's cheaper.
