A lot of people have been nervous about AM2 requiring a heatsink change. Well, MadShrimps has compiled a list of current Socket 939 heatsinks and if they will work on AM2 setups.

In the past heatsinks which rely on the P4 S478 clips have been successfully made compatible with the S939 K8 platform through the use of an altered bracket, companies like Thermalright, Scythe, Zalman, Coolermaster and others provided those to allow their heatsinks to fit on multiple platforms, mum is the word however when it comes to news about an AM2 compatible one.

Good news for you Arctic Freezer 64/64 Pro fans: they'll work on AM2 just fine.

Does all the bigger processors like dual core, AM2, 5000+ etc. works on 939 pin mobo's?

No. AM2 is a 940-pin setup, and the AM2 chips use DDR2 instead of DDR.
