all grown up
Is it me or is it Sods Law that just as i throw away ALL my spare monitors
4x 15" CRT's
1x 17" CRT's
1x 15" TFT

my 17" Philips dies on me - literally about 5 minutes ago it just died, i've tried everything argh! AND it's just as i get f*cking paid.

You still have that big ass tv, no?

Just wire that up to your system for a while, see if you can get some cheap ass monitor to save buying a new one.

Na i won't do that my TV is on a nice stand infront of my fireplace with surround sound attached - i'm running on a Dell 15" LCD 8MS - it's just too small :(

But is there any point in me buying a new LCD? if i do i might as well spend the extra and buy myself a nice 19" LCD - but then it would leave me:

1.Tight for money for the rest of the month
2.Having a new monitor that will be used for 29 Days in 6 months : /

Na, i'd rather have the extra 3.0Ghz / 256MB P4 than a new LCD tbh.

A 15" is fine, my problem is that i'm so used to having a 17" or bigger it looks & feels slightly weird.

This Dell LCD is incredibly good quality though, it's obviously smaller but it's a damn site better picture quality than my old 17" philips - i mean ALOT better really noticable - think its 8MS.

I'm also going to be using a Laptop hopefully when i get back from abroad, + i'm going back to college which will be alot of hard work so a 15" isn't so bad - just a shock using 1 ;)

I only got paid for 2 weeks at work due to having so much time off due to being ill/going to the doctors/ final check ups & scans at the hospital before i go away (from accident).. i've already spent £185 or so on a new 8 port netgear switch / hp 16x dual layer dvd-rw / new floppy drive and some postage costs / 50metres of cat5e / pub / jeans e.t.c

but hey ho :)

*laughs*

I got annoyed with the mere size of the 15" LCD and so i took my 17" LCD apart, and have fixed it :)

- The button on the side of the monitor (power on/off button) merely when you press it - it press's a on/off button on a circuit which connects to the LCD screen and subsequently turns it off or on.. it's been used so much that the monitors circuit has created itself movement room, so sometimes the power on/off will either not work or cut itself off - i've fixed it with a bit of a bodgejob :) (stuck some padding inbetween the circuit and the LCD screen now it works fine..
