Ok, i decided to sit down tonight and install Soldier of Fortune 2 after 1 year of not having played it, hoping for it to work, i was wrong! After installing and starting the game up, i get to the menu, it let's me change Video settings etc...try to start a new game and i get This error window just after the game exits itself! Thinking it is a problem with the sound drivers, i re-installed the latest nForce Audio drivers, still nothing. Re-installed DX 9.0c and the game, still nothing! Installed an old Creative Vibra 128 sound card with it's latest drivers and stiiillllll the same. Even had the patience to restart the computer a couple of times Any ideas? pelvis_3
I would of thought that it is a damaged or missing file named "sound.txt" on the installation disc. I have found a solution on a french website (Translated via google) Hope this helps. Chris
Thanks Got the problem solved by copying the musicandsound.pk3 file from the CD into the base folder!
