Any Advice to get my games running a little smooter would be more than helpful and I would be more than greatful.....thanks to all who respond.... Sincerely, Colby
Sorry I forgot to mention..... Dont know if this matters but I dont think it will be a heating issue. My processor is running at 50c-(with a LOAD) My Video card is running at 44c-(with a LOAD) My Motherboard is running at 30c Also another thing is I thought I might have run into a bad stick of ram but I ran memtest for like 16 hours and it fount nothing. One more thing my ping in the servers I play in stays in the 50's...sometimes 40's Like I said any help will be more than greatfully appriciated. Thanks to you all Sincerely, Colby
Temps look ok for a Barton. You could try bumping the CPU to 2.4 GHz; I ran my XP 3200+ at 2.4 Ghz for years. What resolution do you play at? I would disable AA and AF and set your detail options to medium or low. I wouldn't try to play at anything higher than 1024x768. You're sort of at the end of your rope on that system. The only significant improvement you can make now is to upgrade the video card. The fastest AGP video card right now (and probably forever) is the ATI HD3850 512MB. Really, I think I'd save my cash though because that card is over $100 most places.
