i just got a new monitor from a friend, ts a sony sdm-hs74p lcd. i plug it up and it works for about half a second and then doesnt show anything, upon further inspection(and really good eyes with just the right light) you can see that the monitor is on but it is so dim you can see anything. i know the monitor gets brighter because it does eveytime i plug it in, but it doesnt last. doesanyone have any idea why this monitor is acting like this??? ive already been to sonys troubleshooting site
