Sony VGC RB30 upgrading graphics card stuck!

Hello everyone,

First post on the forum. I recently purchased a visiontek 5550 1GB DDR PCIe 2.1 x 16pin video card. When I install the card the computer does not boot up and both fans stay on constantly. No signal is sent either through the video card or the internal video card. Although I know my RB30 is a 2.0 x 16pin I was under the impression there is backward compatibility. I have actually upgraded my PSU to a Corsair HX650 so I doubt power is an issue. My RAM is upgraded to two 1 GB DDR sticks for a total of 2GB. My SDD is a samsung 830 series. I disabled the internal video card an Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family via devmgmt.msc Am I missing something? Is it the card? Should I just return it to new egg and get something else? What is the newest card I can get for this computer. Thanks in Advance. Sal
