sorry to hassle you!!

    sorry but i am a total newbie, other sites cant help, but hope u can!! i have installed a new hard drive, it is recognised when the computer is started, but when i open "my computer" on XP it is not there, what do i do?

    i think you need to assign it a drive letter, please wait while i boot in to XP cos im in Xandros now, be back soon

    after connecting your drive to your computer then you need to initialise it, to do this, right click on my computer > manage > disk management or click start > run type "diskmgmt" and run

    you will see your disk on right, bottom. Just right click the drive to initialise it and select initialise
