I have put in new sound card but no sound
in device manager/sound and audio, every thing is ghosted
no conflict in sound,video and game controller
the on board sound, i disabled it
i have taken the card out and the drivers, then re-installed
when checking it said sound hardware was OK and working :confused:
there was a check with the card
Hardware Dectection PASSED
Wave Driver FAILED
Midi Driver FAILED
Mixer Driver FAILED
DirectSound 3D Driver FAILED :sick: CAN ANY ONE HELP
 
try disabling your onboard one in bios and movinh your sound card to a different pci slot and reinstalling everthing. and whats wrong with this forum if ya dnt like it dnt :swear: post! Dave

You were kinda of vague, dude with the question.

And this site rocks, it's easily the best and most frequently visited site I go to.
 
SORR Y but have tried to fix this for a while, have disabled on board sound took drivers out have changed slots and re installed drivers but still no sound ,have made sure all drivers on disk are installed,hardware is supposed to be working but in device manager/sound &audio every thing is greyed out andyou can not change any thing. using xp home & sp2,which up to now has been no bother
 
Let's get to the specifics here:
What drivers have you upgraded? The Audigy's, or did you also upgrade the chipset drivers?
Have you tried removing all the other PCI cards in your system out (assuming you have any besides the Audigy)?
Did you disable any onboard sound in BIOS and uninstall the drivers for it?

I haven't seen anything that's specific to the motherboard or chipset when setup with an Audigy, so it doesn't appear to be a widespread issue.
 
along with what Big B wants you really need to post your windows version.
If by some odd chance you have a server version you have to enable sound, but there are different tricks for different OSes.
 
have final come to the conclusion i have not put the the card in properly it clicked in one side but other side was hard to get in i have tried the other three slots but it is the same. when switching on it was comming up new hardware detected but found it was for something else.my old card was dj 4100 pci sound card for 95/98 is it pos. to get updated to xp. the site is www.tsunami.com.tw but it says nothing about sound cards
