    I just re-installed XP Home, when I go to Start, Turn off computer the menu that pops up gives me 3 options, Hybernate, Turn Off, Restart.
    I disabled the option to hybernate. The hybernate button is still there but not highlighted and is inopt. But my question is , on my other computer the option to stand by button is where the hybernate button is and I like to use the standby. How do I get the standby option in the shut down menu to replace the hybernate one?
    Thanks,

    Thats a really strange problem but nevertheless a problem.
    Unfortunately i dont know how to help, normally hibernate button is only available when you depress shift and it replaces the standby button then.
    Actually try this;
    Control panel > User accounts, then click "Change the way users log on or off" and then untick "Use the welcome screen", then the stanby option should be available to you in a drop down list!
