I'm sorry, but I know very little about computers.

When I start up Microsoft Internet Explorer on Microsoft Windows XP, it brings up the window in a restored down version. I have to maximize it manually. How do I tell the computer to maximize it automatically?

Go to the Internet Explorer icon and right click it go to properties go to Shortcut tab and then look down near the bottom where it says 'Run:' and select Maximized.

    That should do it! :)

Here take a look at this.

Personally, I use Firefox it is a much safer and a more stable browser than IE. You can download it here.

If still no success, click Start > All programs > right click Internet Explorer > Properties > and you should already be on the 'Shortcut' tab.

There's the problem. My properties window looks different. I have tabs going all accross the window, none of which say "shortcuts."

Do as chris said, Start > All programs > right click Internet Explorer > Right Click/Properties
then change it to open as maximized.
