thomas234 said:Hi, is there any way I can make programmes start up only on my user, and no-one elses? Eg I've made a programme that counts the amount of times you log on, but I only want it to run on my user, not my brothers.
Thanks, Thomas

Your personal startup directory is located at C:\Documents And Settings\<Your Username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
Delete the programs you do not want to start automatically for other user's by navigating to C:\Documents & Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents And Settings\<Your Username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
Those are the programs, which are not in the "start > programs > startup" and runs automatically when you turns on your windows eg antivirus. You can disable them from msconfig by just clicking on the check box in there or alternatively you you have to manually go into each program and stop it.Thomas said:As far as I know, not all startup programmes are stored in the startup folder, in XP go start > Run and type msconfig and press enter. Click the startup tab at the top and you will see a list of programmes started on startup.
This is just your own startup, any program you put over here will run only when you logon to the windows.mega said:C:\Documents And Settings\<Your Username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
