    Hi,

Is there any way to stop a certain user (restricted account) from printing anything on XP. My 4 year old sister figured out how to print off websites and is printing loads of rubbish.

    Thanks, Thomas

Go to Start and click on Printers And Faxes. Rightclick the printer icon and select Properties. To to the tab Security. Now click on Advanced. Select the user account of the person you want to deny access to the printer, and click on Edit.
Put a check mark at Deny at all 6 components. At Apply onto, choose This printer and Documents. Now click on OK on all screens.

Thanks for the reply, but after right clicking the printer icon and clicking properties, there is no security tab. I've searched under all of the other tabs but I cannot find it :(

    I've included a print screen...

    Thanks, Thomas

btw I'm on an Admin account.

Try to disable Simple File sharing. Go to Folder options > View and uncheck simple file sharing, as shown in the attached screenshot. Then try again.
btw Are you running XP Home edition? Because you can only use the user rights management in professional and media center edition.
