strange, free space confusion

    as you can see from the image

    gparted is showing 10.23Gb of free space but konqueror is showing /mnt/spr (mount point for hda3) only 11.2 but has only 7.8Gb of free space:confused: [ot]i did delete some non working VM's, why hasn't this become free space (standard delete not shift delete)[/ot]

    yeah tried that, selected <view> <show hidden files> and .Trash-0 appeared, shift deleted it and vwala, free space visible

    It looks just like the filesystem on that partition (ext3) is corrupted. Linux can't get the correct size, but the partition software does. Can you execute a scan on that partition?

    problem sorted, just reveled hidden files & deleted trash

    I use df -lh to see how much space I have on disks.

    i like that, i displays all freespace on all mountpoints[ot]ill have to remember that[/ot]oops, sorry, i mean it shows freespace and mountpoints
