I currently just have some old Creative Soundblaster card. I'm really not sure beyond that.
"Creative AudioPCI(ES1371), SB PCI 64/128 (WDM)" as it appears in the device manager.
This card has poor SNR, and my speakers often buzz if I turn the volume up past 9 or 10 o'clock(maybe 1/4th the max). It's not the speakers, it's definitely the line.
I'm looking for cards with exceptional(well, $100 to $200 max) SNR, or are there devices that will filter out the noise on the line?
My speakers are Klipsch ProMedia 2.1.
