Right Who can get the quickest calculation of 1MB worth of data in Super Pi http://swg-planet.com/procalx/pafiledb/pafiledb.php Look in Benchmarks Section, download SuperPi and run a new calculation using: 1MB of data, the quicker you do it the better your processor is at raw calculations :good: It's a good indication of Folding capabilities and speeds I just did it on a: AMD Duron 700Mhz 256MB SD133 at work, and I got: a horrifying 3mins 07 seconds A Pentium 4 2.4GHZ+ / AMD64 2800+ should be able to calculate 1MB Super Pi calculation in about 30-60 Seconds. Enjoy
No waffle, when you load the program it does not automatically do it for you.. for some reason that same result is shown by default. Now.. Click: "Calculate(C)" When asked to "Select digits of Pi to be calculated" select "1M" (1MegaByte) Now how long does it take Example: (My Test Machine @ Work)
Mine was 56 seconds the first time 57 seconds the second 55 seconds the third So my average is 56 seconds This was on an athlon XP 3200+ with 512mb of RAM
Ok i just got 35 Seconds @ 2.6Ghz 1:1, however my timings are stuck at 8 - 6 - 6 which is bloody aweful! (i wanted to see how far i could clock)..
