system lock out

Hi i am new to this and would be grateful for any help offered. I have started having a total system lock up most times when i try to load a disc from my dvd-rom drive, i can't find any conflicts in device manager and have changed roms and removed all software to see if this cures the problem but this don't help my system is a fujitsu siemems P4 3.2 with 75gig harddrive and 512 of ram I have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse

have u tried updating the driver from the web site?

Yeah tried that but did'nt help, Think i sorted problem, I had installed two different upgrades to nero6 and it looks like they did'nt like each other ,reinstalled nero with just the reloaded upgrade and at the moment everything seems fine, but thanks a lot for your help
