    Hi everyone,

When I try to access Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) I get a popup saying ( Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator) I go to regedit and I change to a 0 and I click OK, then the Task Manager starts working, but after I turn the computer OFF and ON, I have the same problem, and I have to do the same, to make work.
There are no other accounts on this computer & it is Windows XP.
    Does anyone have any suggestions??

    Many thanks in advance,

    Carl :good:

anyway, Is this computer part of a network by any chance.... with network admins trying to stop you getting into these things! lol ;)

try booting the computer up in safe mode and using the Administrator account to make the changes, i dont know if this will work but its worth a try.

-To access safe mode: hold F8 when you first turn the computer on
-The administrator account will only appear in safe mode btw

I dont know if you allready know this [the above 2 bullet points] just thought it was best to include ii... just in case!

Editing the registry manually can be slow.... why not use Xteq? http://www.tucows.com/preview/219636
