Okay so this is a thread for some of the really stupid things you've done with computers resulting in what you thought was a problem...(I thought I'd post it here rather than clog up the support forums general hardware section with something that doesn't really help but is just a bit of 'fun')
I have done a few, the most embarrasing one (although I'm sure it's happened to a few others) is I took my computer apart to give it a good clean out and connected everything up and pressed the switch...nothing, checking inside, power cables to motherboard were okay, switch connector was okay..."damn I though, must be the power cable" so i changed the power cable, still nothing..."oh no...it's dead, I did something wrong and it's died..." I thought, then it hit me, I unplugged everything AND turned the power off at the mains...it was still off and that's why it wouldnt turn on anymore...dang...:O
So let us hear it, what's the most silly, embarrasing thing that you've done that made you think your computer had 'kicked the bucket' so to speak...
