Seeing as how 90% of my dating life has been documented here, along with my engagement, I figured it's time for an update. The date has been officially set for September 30. It's a small ceremony with just the immediate family, grandmothers, and any other VIP relatives. We'll have the reception following shortly afterwords. The ceremony will be outside the reception hall, but if the weather turns nasty, we can take it inside. After a few bumps, we've got our pre-marital couseling taking off finally, and that'll be pretty valuable. Some of the books we're reading have been pretty insightful to understanding myself. We've checked out one apartment complex that's really nice, not to mention reasonable, but I'm gonna look at a few others for a worst-case scenario if we can't get the first pick. We're waiting to get the maid of honor's dress until she gets down to her normal size since she had a baby about a month ago. I think I figured out what tux I'm going with: black with a pinstripe vest and a blue tie (exact shade pending on the color of the dress). We've got a budget laid out, so we can make our choices based off of that. We've got a photographer for the wedding and reception for a very reasonable rate. It's not a studio, so we're not getting creamed there. I figure by April, the wedding expenses will be covered and the rest of what's being saved up will be there to help have a running start.
Are we invited?.....just kidding Seriously though, that's good news. Where do you and ruler of B plan on going for the honeymoon?
Saginaw, Michigan area. The main thing is having time with each other, not where we'll be going. The point is to get out of state, but not be driving a ton or have a complicated route. Once I get my tax return, I'll be reserving the rooms. I can get a nice suite with a jacuzzi and king size bed in it for a pretty affordable rate. She's been up in that before, but she doesn't mind going up their again.
Great news Big B, hope it all works out for you and wish you all the best Why don't you fashion the halloween outfit you had back in 2001. I still can't get over those pictures
Thanks for the update B, sounds like things are really going smoothly, hope the trend continues and send us those pic mate
Thanks. Actually, those were 2005 pics. There's some clear plastic shoes with lights in them, and I think she make pick them up to wear during the reception at her dollar dance. Yes, I did say she's doing a dollar dance, but it's her idea.
Congrats and good luck Big B! And try to push the wedding forward to september 28 so we can celebrate my birthday with your wedding!
Congratulations Big B...can I be a VIP relative...cept someone whos not actually a relative more like a friend of the family whos not actually a friend of the family just some random person from across the pond
Sounds like you've got everything planned good and ready. Have fun with it and good luck with everything. You guys gonna have cake? Wedding cakes are the best...
Oh, yeah, we will have cake. We're waiting for a quote, but once that's done, I'll know pretty much what the final costs will total. Unless it's way out of what's been budgeted, we'll be fine.
Woo Hoo!!!! :ans: Mazal Tov! Wish you both all the best for your shared future. Hope it all goes smooth as a baby's bottom and happy as a pig in muk. Plese post pictures of the day. And please, do not attempt AT's hair for the day....... hehe..... :good: :sun:
She'd kill me if I did that. I'll get it trimmed up a little, but I don't think I'll be doing anything too major. I probably should put a little gel in it to keep it in place, but I'll think about it. We've got the photographer booked, and while it's the most expensive thing on the list, he's doing the wedding and reception, so it's pretty nice, I know going to a studio would just kill us. We liked his work a lot and how he could take good shots in low-lit area's, which was a snafu with the other guy we talked with. I got our hotel's reserved through Travelocity, so I'm just waiting for the transaction to show up on my credit card where I'll immediately transfer money over from savings where I dumped the tax return. Man, I just love direct deposit...
As per my thinking is concern........when it comes to enjoy then I dont care about money coz I have whole life to earn but these occassions happens rarely or once in life time~!:ff:
Neither of us are into a lavish wedding. Now, hey, if someone would give us a crapload of cash, sure, we'd take advantage of it. The main point it to have a nice day. If I had a ton of money, yeah, there's some stuff I'd probably do to up the ante, but I don't and neither of us want to add to what we already have to pay off (college loans are a bitch)
Bump. Time for another update. There's some issues we wanted to spend more time on, so we've pushed back the wedding til April 2007 so we can work on them. The pace of things we needed to get done was coming way too fast and we weren't getting to discuss things that we needed to address.
Well I'm sure it's for the best, if you think you need more time then it's good to take it slow, can't rush something this important. Best of luck man.
