Alright.. well I need a chipset that with support TEC (Thermoelectric Cooling aka Peltier). I found a couple... one being Swiftech MCW5002-PT but the chipset is $115! I am looking for a chipset that is like 30$... Any ideas anyone... I want a water cooling block that supports TEC, I dont mind if it's not sealed and all that... all fancy like the MCW.. don't even care about condensation, as I can protect against that... Any idea anyone? I dont care if peltier sits against CPU... but the other side must be completely covered with the water cooling block. plz help... Basically... easy to install and cheap is what I'm looking for..
I'm not 100% sure, but you might check to see what Danger Den offers in TEC+Watercooling. It's a very small market, and I don't think you're going to find a Watercooled peltier for any small amount of cash. Swiftech isn't cheap, but IF Danger Den has anything like it, I wouldn't expect that to be exactly cheap either. You also might check the forums over @ Overclockers.com and see if some folks there have seen something else besides Swiftech's offering. I haven't really looked at H2O cooling in years, but Swiftech may be the only one offering the H2O TEC blocks. *edit* Yeah, Danger Den has them, but you're still looking at $50+ shipping for the CPU block...and it might vary depending on what socket you're looking at it for.
