Hi Guys, Not sure where this queery should go. I have to reset my computer date and time each time I turn the computer on, otherwise I have to confirm each site that I look at by accepting a certificate, if you know what I mean. I have the time synchronised but still no joy..Any suggestions please. Thanks in advance. Best Regards roobarb::dry:
Dead CMOS battery (on the motherboard) results in the computer losing the time/date settings, however you can try leaving your computer on for 24hours to see if it helps. If it doesnt, you will have to get the battery replaced.
Hi, Many thanks for the info, I'll try leaving computer on see if that recharges battery, if not I'll get a replacement..Thanks for the tip. Best Regards roobarb
Great thanks, I left the computer on for a good 24 hours and when turned off and on again, the clock had stayed on the correct time/date. I've only had the computer a couple of weeks, and there are quite a few things that are missing or needing updating..To date I have already started to get it sorted with the help of the Hardware Forum..Cheers Guys..
I think you need a CR2032, but I'd take the existing one out to make sure. You can get them at places like homebase and B&Q, and I sell them in the photography shop that I work in.
