We're heading towards the 1,000th place mark, but in the meantime, we've crossed the 1,000WU mark. Further more, Anti-Trend is currently the leader in folding now, with over 21,000 points and only 150WU's---just a reminder that the rankings are based on points rather than WU's. Our current position is 1,033, and it looks like we'll have the 1,000th place under our belt in 3 days time at our current output. Currently we're 13 members strong...and it seems to be lucky for us with such a relatively small number. Of course, we do encourage more people to pick up folding...particularly for the Zone365 F@H team. More info can be had in our Folding@Home forum.
My secret: * Use SSE optimizations * Allow high-memory WU's * Fold on architecture-specific kernel * Use servers at work during off-hours The high memory WUs are the reason I have so many points and so few WU's. The WU's I'm cranking out are more complicated than low-memory ones. -AT
Yes, that's why I have lots of points and not that many WU's. High memory WU's are worth more points.
Good Job all, i'm not folding atm, as i'm going away in 3 weeks or so for 6 or 7 months, and i'd rather not leave my pc running something so heavy as F@H, mainly due to whom i know will be using my pc.. (family).. and it will be trashed by the time i get back anyhow Then you'll see me with a rather incredibly naf pc due to the fact im back to College when i get back - and not working :good: hehe
It's not worth it, what i'm going to do is basically give my computer to my best friend who will look after it and replace my pc with a PIII 650Mhz 256MB / 20GB HDD e.t.c too look after AV / Firewall / Internet / Network, then when i come back my computer will still be working
Oh, yeah. We now have crossed the 1k mark in stats. At our current rate, we're looking to be somewhere in the 400's by this time next year.
somehow I doubt this folding team will still be going strong in a year. Not many people are becoming regulars in this site just gettin their poo fixed and running away. I will probably still be folding in a year
I think most folders in a years time will still be folding. We might not get a huge number of extra members folding but i'll still be going.
