I am a amateur and desperately need help. Have been using the Titan P4 667 motherboard for quite awhile without any problems until recently when the sound begin to fail. And now I have to increase my volume to max and the sound still sound out of key (even human speech).

Tried installing sound card but it does not work. Wonder anyone out there have similar experience appreciate your help. Thanks. Awaiting for any advice.

You're sure it's not the wires or the speakers you're using?

Thank you for your quick advice.

Yes, tested the speaker with another system, and also another set of speaker with the faulty system. One other thing I did was to use contact cleaner to clean the contacts to make sure that the contacts are not dirty.

One other thing I observed was a set of jumpers on the motherboard that indicate audio, but do not know which one to short.

Any clues, thank you for your help.

Check your motherboard manual, as it should say in there.

    Hi Big B,

Thank your for your advice. Sound came back but still in the wrong key.
Clean ram again and now the system does not boot up and I think I had done
more harm than good now. Anyway, thank you once again for your help. I
think I should sent the system to the expert for help before I do more
    damage to the system.
