    Hi,
I'm experiencing a terrible problem on start up.
Pushing its power switch to start the laptop its indicator light goes green for two secs, only then it turns to orange color flashing all the time.

I've removed all devices except mobo and lcd display, still is having similar behave, nothing changes!
I've supplied 15V DC from its laptop's power supply unit, I've checked its input voltage when switching on the laptop, it's voltage is OK.

It looks like there are no short circuits, maybe its a logical gate malfunction, what do you think about that?
Thanks in advance for your time.
    Regards.

If laptops have a CMOS I would try resetting that (I'm sure they do but I've never worked on a laptop so I don't know for sure).

So i take it, it powers on then powers off flashing orange light? It's either power brick, Power Switch, Overheating, Shorting. Or could also be a problem with your laptop battery, try removing it and powering the laptop just using the power brick.

Thanks a lot for your replies!
In fact, I'm using the laptop's adapter unit only to feed the system.
What do you mean by resetting the CMOS components?

A nice thing to get should be its electronic schematics specially the related to its power up cycle.
What about on mobo's RAM (256MB) failure?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
    Regards.
