    Hi all,

I'm wondering if you can help me with something. I have an IBM Model M keyboard. It was more expensive than any keyboard I have ever purchased because I had to have it shipped from America, and I'm in the UK.

However it was worth the high cost. The Model M is about the highest quality keyboard that has ever been made. It really is an industrial-strength bit of kit. If I can compare it to a car it would be the Toyota Hilux pickup truck, as tested by Top Gear. Completely indestructible.

The model I have is simply awesome. The clicky keys are a delight if you're an old fart like me and the first thing you ever typed on was a real mechanical typewriter - the sound is very reminiscent. You can pour water on it and it just runs out of small slats underneath. You can eat and drink over it all you like, because the whole thing can be taken apart and each component individually cleaned or washed. My keyboard is well over thirty years old and looks as good as new, even though I abuse it horribly.

My question is this: is there a game controller (or joypad as they're sometimes known) which matches this level of quality? You see, I have an annoying mental disability which makes me certain that pressing button x on a gamepad really, really very much harder than is necessary will make me accelerate faster in a car racing game or grab the quaffle in an England versus Germany match in Harry Potter - Quidditch World Cup no matter where I am in the stadium. And the button gets ruined pretty quickly because the plastic warps, the rubber is too brittle and build quality is generally low.

In other words I need a military-grade game controller. Suggestions anyone?
