    Hi all

Now that my Freezer 4 is on it's way out, I am thinking of my next step.
As budget is minimal to none existing, I found this line of coolers which seem to be very good value for money. http://www.tr2tt.com/products/coolers/m12se/m12se-2.htm
I am waiting to hear from them, who are their aproved suppliers in the UK.

The S478 aluminium versions sell on eBay for about £10 incl. Delivery.
I am more after the all copper ones.
They claim to be silent at 21dBA. As the Freezer noise level are set in 'sohn', I have no idea if this is louder or quieter...
I tend to want to move away from the freezer (sold for about £13 online) only because it was a rather squeeze in my rig. I feel the more conventional heatsink/fan will fit better in the rig as getting my dream case (the Soprano) does not look likely at all.

    Honest opinions please.
    Thanks for looking....

These days, Thermaltake designs pretty good coolers, so I wouldn't worry about performance or noise.

If you want to save up, the Big Typhoon keeps my Opteron under 45 degrees at all times, even when I run at 1.58v for benchies.

ThermalTake seem to make some nice coolers and it sucks about your Freezer packing up on you sabashuali.

JumpittyCricket - Those Opteron 144's are awesome (I wish I had one), extremely cheap and they use the same San-Diego core as an FX-57 but they have locked multipliers. Many people have got them running at 3GHz on air (stable) not bad for a CPU that can cost the same price as a 3000+ (and it has 1MB cache so that's nice)[/ot]

Thanks Jumpitty and welcome to the forum.
I thought the Typhoons were good value for $$$ but always under the impression that they were somewhat noisy.

I will give that some concederation as well....

    Many thanks again.
Hope you have a nice time here...
