i have just made a second partition of windows xp, i dont want to install everyhting again on it as it will waste space having 2 of the same applications on, so in my programs hard drive partition i have for installing everyhitng on, i have games like far cry, doom 3 and half life 2 that i installed on my other windows xp os, i dont want to install the games again to work on this partition, but when i go into the programs hard drive and go into the main part of the game instalation, and then copy the shortcut the the desktop, it just says that a file cant be found, it also does this when i try to launch the game from the game isntalation folder.

is there anyway i can get around this problem withough reinstalling all the games, i am making this second windows xp partition for my dad, as my dad wants to use the aol software but i dont, so i cant uninstall it, but i can uninstall it if my dad has his own partition, then he will not need ot use the one i use, so i will not have to keep aol installed.
