Any idea how to get a bunch of files from a laptop to a pc? I have tried burnig a disk, but it fails each time, most likely due to the cheap cd's. Can I connect the two together somehow and simply drag and drop the folder, or do I need an internet connection or something? Thanks.
You should be able to network them with two cat5 patch cables and a router/hub. then basically drag the files from laptop into the shared doc's and then access them via desktop through my network places. I'm a bit rusty so if i missed anything do tell
Actually, all you need is a crossover cable and just make sure to share the folder(s) on the laptop you want to transfer over. Unshare them when you're done.
You can, but if either of the systems has less than USB 2.0, you'll be transferring your data at less than 10MiB... in other words, I hope you have a lot of patience, 'cause it's gonna take forever. Might wanna wax the car while you're transferring those files...
You'd have to buy one, and it'd come with special software and instructions. You can also use a crossover cable and Windows file sharing.
