I am trying to use a camcorder with AV out for use with Skype for video conferencing. To get the connection, I have a VIDBOX NW03 that I am using to translate the signal. Problem is, Skype doesn't recognize the signal from VIDBOX. To rectify this, I used a freeware program called Splitcam which DOES read the VIDBOX, and IS readable by Skype. Problem is, it uses aprox 25% of my processor power, thereby giving me less for Skype itself. It works, but the video is choppy, and the other person's video feed freezes frequently. Incoming video, and all audio works just fine, but as soon as I enable the outbound video, it all slows down and freezes. Is there a way to get the Skype to read the VIDBOX input (via USB2.0) without using so much processor power? Is there a way to streamline this whole process to make it all work more reliably and better quality? CPU Pentium 4 3.0GHz 504 MB of 2.99 GHz RAM Win XP SP2
