Hello everyone, I am a new member here. This seems like a great forum to get help and advice, and thanks from now to anyone who chooses to contribute anything.

Anyways, I have an LCD TV that takes in HDTV input (being used), AV input (used), VGA input (used), TV input (used), and S-Video out (not used). What I want to do is purchase a device that will record shows from the TV input, and save them to my hard drive. Does anyone know of any good products that won't put a huge dent in my bank account? If so, please share :)

    Thanks,
    Michael Boutros

Any regular Analogue or Digital TV tuner card will do what you want.
Just use a Coax splitter to connect the cable to the TV card and your set.

I've heard some good stuff about that card. Excellent for the price
It's also got a S-Video input, so if you have any equipment with S-Video out, you can record from that too!
