I'm just curious Big B, but can you give me a link where I can find the electrical diagram of an ASUS CUV 4X-C? Even one with only voltage and/or waveform checkpoints will help. I have one with an intermittent problem - I'm sure it's a harware thing. I'm quite capable of doing board-level repairs, and I'd really appreciate it if you, or anybody else in this forum, can help me out on this. Thanks.
Off-hand, I don't think any company offers that type of schematic to the public. You could try asking Asus themselves, but I'm not really positive that you'll get a favorable response. I've seen a similiar question posed elsewhere, but I can't remember the response or if there even was one on the subject.
sorry not schematic so mutch as a diagram of the layout of jumpers ect. Ive found out in the meantime it is a FIC motherboard made for compac with a different socket name and other superficial differences
Socket A=Socket 462. Yeah, Compaq's use FIC motherboards, but I'm not sure if they still do since the merger with HP. What you want isn't so hard, except for it being an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) part. You may still be able to find it, and that's something that you'd need to look around on Compaq/HP's site for. If you can't find it, I would think that it'd be something they'd be able to furnish you with since it wouldn't disclose any major secrets.
