    Microsoft chairman Bill Gates said "IT skills were needed from the shop floor to the chief executive"

    That is so true, i have seen corner shop owner use a laptop to do his accounts/takings for the week. So every business needs people with IT skills.

    That's true, in the UK and here in the states too. The biggest problem is that most "IT Guys" can't differentiate a TCP port from that port on their own backside. And self-proclaimed "Microsoft guys" are usually the worst offenders. :( I say this from first-hand knowledge, since my primary job is providing help & support for IT departments.
