So what does one do when a fly is spotted inside his/her computer (praise God for arcilic windows)? I heard some weird buzzing noise and then I saw the little bastard ontop of my video card. How he managed to brave the gauntlet of cables, packplates and fans is a mystery to me but he's definately not leaving anytime soon. I could try to blast him into my cooler with a jet of compressed air but the sucker is fast. Would there be any harm if a dead fly lands on the mobo or something? Suggestions (serious or otherwise...)
worst case scenario: fan gets chopped, sliced, and diced and juices sprayed all over your hardware and shorting something. most likely he'll just die and lay on something harmlessly but get that nasty thing out.
I imagine if the flies liquid parts shorted something it would be bad. But then again we don't get this kind of problem often. I would have thought it would of died from the heat. Try playing a really intensive game, burn the f*cker out.
Haha, yeah I shouldn've done that, problem seems to have sorted itself out, there's...something on the idside of my window now but I think it's just gunk from awhile ago and not fly juice. No buzzing anymore, he either got out of more than likely committed suicide in one of my intake fans.
Heh yeah, damn that fly!! I reckon you should have blown him onto a moving fan, could have been quite entertaining as well as possibly destructive.
