    This update addresses an issue where double-byte character set (DBCS) characters may appear corrupted in Internet Explorer on Windows XP when you browse a Web site that uses Shift-JIS character encoding. Install this update to help resolve this issue. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

    Looks like MS is starting to get smart on updates and requiring you to validate your license.
