Long time lurker , first time posting.

Im thinking of upgrading my laptop.
It an Acer 9300 with a Turion MK-38 proc, Im going to upgrade to a Turion X2 TL-52 proc.

Im asking about how difficult it will be to do the upgrade. I've done alot of computer building and other laptop upgrades. But never so far as to upgrade the proc on one (Ram , hdd , ect)

Is it even worth doing for any kind of performance boost?
Can I use the current cooling in the laptop for this new proc?
and finally is it even possible , anyone got any links to some pics of the inside of this beast?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

    Welcome to hardwareforums RevChris

The HDD, internal network card (normally miniPCI) and RAM can be changed on a laptop without too much bother (you can get to them easily) but changing the CPU on a laptop is not going to be easy, and i've never come across anyone who has done it :/

sorry about the short reply, i have to get to work!
