Alright so here is my story, I recently build a computer from scratch (not to brag but that's pretty good for only being 16) but I'm looking for an upgrade for it. I built it mostly for gaming, currently playing Star Wars: The Old Republic, in-which I only get around 20-35 fps, which is a big improvement from the 5 I was getting on my old HP. Price is not really a factor, I just need to know, out of these following parts, which ONE would you upgrade, and with what? ASUS M4A88T-M AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard (on board ATI Radeon HD 4250) AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 3.3GHz Processor Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory RAM Seagate Barracuda Green 1.5TB 5900 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive All on windows 7 64-bit with a 500W power supply I was leaning towards getting an actually video card, but I want an experts advice. Thanks, Chris.
For gaming you really should be using Intel... also for gaming you NEED a dedicated GPU. This is an absolute must. The RAM is good, you could get another 4GB but not a necessary upgrade. The HDD is slow you may want to think about getting a 7200 RPM drive or even a(n) small capacity SSD and load your OS and some games onto that. You'd notice a huge difference. How much are you willing to spend on upgrades?
