Hello, I am a new member to forums, please be gentle

I am writing on here today for some help about a possible upgrade I may be doing, by July I should have approx £400 to spend.

    My rig is here:

    CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 630 @ 2.80 GHz
    Motherboard: ASUS M4A78LT-M-LE
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5750 1.0 GB
    RAM: 4GB
    PSU: HEC 550 Watt
    Screen: Samsung SyncMaster E2333HD
    HDD: 1TB Windows 7 Ultimate
    Keyboard + Mouse: Logitech G15 & Logitech MX518
    Sound: Cambridge SoundWorks 4.1

As I said I will have the money by aprox July, and I was looking mainly at the Bulldozer core by AMD.

    Thanks

    Welcome to HWF!
Yep all those parts seem to fit. According to sources, the Bulldozer cores will use an AM3+ socket and are expected to be backwards compatible with current AM3 motherboards. So keep caution, as nothing is sure about that yet, You don't want to buy a motherboard with the incorrect socket for the Bulldozer. ;)
