Totally awesome dude. I was once concidering that case among other upgrades but decided I could just hoard my money for something else, like a new TV or whatever.
On the other hand the 3000+ wouldn't really be much of an upgrade over a 3200+ XP, better OC potential I guess.
I realize your stategy with the ASRock as it will save you the $ for a new vid card, good stuff. I bought one for a friend but it may have been defective as I spend 18hrs trying to get the friggin thing to post. May have just been a bad video card though. The X800GTO didn't fit properly so I had to modify the case a tad.
All in all I wouldn't worry about my experience with that mobo, I think I just had bad luck.

I was thinking of the possability the X2 3800, if the price keeps dropping like it has been, if not i will get the A64 3000 for the overclocking potential, and because of socket 939's support for dual chanel ram, because socket a sucks, and so do locked mobos.

Ah, fair enough mate. Yeah the 3800 would be totally awesome, if you can't get the X2 the 3800+ standard 64 is the best bang for the buck in my opinion, at least if you're not a hard core OCer.

Decent system, the Venice 3000 will be a good overclocker, although your mileage may vary. I would tend to go towards a motherboard with a better performing chipset, like an nForce 4 one.

I think i might sell my 6800 gt AGP version come christmas, i'll mod it up with the ultra's bios and an aftermarket cooler and ask 200 bucks for it. Then i'll go buy a 7800 gt. :) If not i have to buy that mobo.

Dude for $200 that would be a steal, on Newegg the cheapest 6800GTs are like $285. Get your money's worth:good:

Well I hope you can, I mean just because you used it doesn't mean people shouldn't have to pay their money's worth. The world can be so mean somtimes. If you don't expect to get more than $200 for your GT I don't even want to think about my 6800's retail value (once I get it RMA's for replacement that is).
