Upgrading with Gigabyte GA7VAXP

    Upgrade Help/Advice (Memory & Graphics/Video Card)

    I want to upgrade all the Other stuff and still keep my Gigabyte GA-7VAXP........ how do I find out what Vid card.......mem sticks...... cpu etc..... that this board can MAX out at??? thanx

    Any AGP 4x/8x card should work, as well as any DDR you use. Given the Via KT400 chipset on that motherboard, you're unlikely to find benefits using anything faster than PC2700, but you can use PC4400 DDR if you want. You won't get full use out of it, but it will work fine. I can't remember off-hand, but you're probably going to be limited to 1.5GB of RAM. I'd check what the manual says, but that's what I remember (I had the 7VAXP Ultra at one point).
