    Hi Guys,

I've been going crazy over this, I've been googling for days but I can't find an answer.
I have an old Vaio desktop (PCV-RS246) running on Windows XP Professional, everything is working fine apart from my USB ports.
Whenever I plug something in it says "this device can perform faster" but this computer is definitely usb 2.0 not 1.1, so I'm confused as to why it's not working properly.
I've already tried uninstalling all the USB drivers in Device Manager, and upon reboot the "enhanced USB" did not reinstall.

Can anyone help me out please?

I have attached a screenshot of my Device Manager.

    It was a BIOS problem.

I restored default settings and USB 2.0 works again.

    Thanks.
