    Hi everybody,

Got a bit of a strange issue that I couldn't find any answers for online or here, but if it has already been asked, then a link would be great! Thanks in advance [IMG]

    Here's the issue:

The USB device (mouse, HDD, whatever) works fine. I disconnect it for whatever reason, but when I do, the device can still be seen as connected (i.e. HDD file folder structure shows up, but when I click into a folder, it says that's empty when it in fact it isn't, Logitech mouse still shows up in button programming software, Logitech Gaming Software). Then when I try to connect the USB device, I cannot use the device. Power through the USB ports still works it seems, at least when I use it to charge my phone anyways.

I have updated all of my USB drivers to the newest edition available on my manufacturer's website (http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/N56VM/#support).

    Here are my specs
    Asus R501V (AU/NZ equivalent to worldwide N56VM)
    i7 3610QM
    8GB RAM
    64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

    Anybody have any suggestions?

Are you rebooting the computer after you have unhooked each time to clear the memory ?

Once this problem occurs, I have no choice but to reboot if I wish to use any USB devices. Is this what you mean?
