I bought a new mouse like
    [IMG]

Its a USB mouse but when I connect it with my computer, it doesnt work. I recieve an error message error loading new hardware. I have tried restarting computer, changing USB ports as well.

It has a ps2 connector with it. when I use that, it works. So which shows that mouse is not Bad.

Advice me what to do. Thanks~!

Plug the mouse into your computer using the USB port. Use your other mouse (if you can) to navigate to the device manager. Your USB mouse will have an exclamation mark next to it. Double click on it and post the error message

sorry for bit late reply. I was using another mouse and didnt get time to troubleshoot the usb one.

I can see my mouse there but it doesnt work.... I was searching on the net and found that I have to upgrade the BIOS. I dont know if its true as it was just a search. My computer is Dell Dimension 4400.

xp sp2, dont know what is rodent? I was searching on the net and found somewhere that if I upgrade my BIOS then mouse will start working and I found that after upgrading its right and left click starts working, now the only problem remainis is moving cursor. Do I suppose that my mouse is bad and its cursor will not move? I donot have another computer to check at the moment.
